Meet the trainers
Fund Writing was set up in 2009 by Fiona Rintoul, a journalist specialising in fund management, and Felicity Parsons, a copywriter and writing skills trainer. In 2014, journalist and media adviser Marianne Taylor joined the team.
Fiona is an author, journalist and writing skills trainer. She has over 20 years’ experience of reporting on fund management and was previously editor of Funds Europe magazine. Before that, she worked at the fund research company Lipper.
Fiona also writes and translates fiction. Her first novel, The Leipzig Affair, was short-listed for the Saltire first book of the year award and serialised on BBC R4’s Book at Bedtime.

Felicity is a copywriter and writing skills trainer. As a writer, she specialises in architecture, engineering and construction – a field she has worked in for over 30 years. Before setting up her own communications and training business, she was head of marketing and business development at a leading interior architecture practice in London.

Marianne Taylor has been a journalist and media adviser for over 15 years. She has worked extensively for newspapers and broadcasters including the BBC, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, The Herald and Die Welt in Germany.
As a media adviser, she has worked with The Home Office and the Scottish Police Authority. She also teaches media skills and writing.
